Tangles-ugh!
How about a natural Detangling Conditioner Bar?
Curly hair, kinky hair, straight hair, wavy hair… thick hair, thin hair… There’s not much all these hair types have in common except tangles, LOL. If you have long hair, you can likely relate. And if you cannot relate, be thankful you can’t, then tell your friends about this bar ;D
But seriously, most long hair tangles easily. Having easily tangled hair myself (long, curly and graying), and hearing the ripping sound as my daughter detangled her thick long hair, convinced me of the need for this bar. Tangles were the only thing I didn’t like about being natural with my hair routine. Overall, since going 100% natural about three years ago, my hair is in much better shape than it had been in over a decade. However, I saw if anything, a slight increase in tangles using a Shampoo bar. If you understand the ingredients used in commercial Shampoo, this actually makes sense. Many of the ingredients used in commercial shampoos are there to coat your hair and give it slip. (None of those ingredients are close to natural though, so we won’t use them!)
So I set out to make a completely natural detangling conditioner bar!
Ingredients highlights
Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil: it’s great for cleansing and really good for your hair!
Himalayan Pink Salt: detangles and adds body
Pasture Raised Egg Yolks: this may be the strangest ingredient on the list, but egg yolks (Probably not the hormone filled kind) are very good for hair “nutrition” and moisture.
Camelina Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Hemp Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Aloe Vera Leaf, Brazil Nut Oil, Argan Oil, Jojoba, Pro-Vitamin b-5, Rosehip Oil, Silk: moisture, elasticity, structure and strength.
Please note: These bars are smaller than our other bars, between 3-3.5 oz. As this bar is not intended to be used more than once a week, it should last as long, or longer than your Shampoo and Conditioner Bars.
Directions for use
After shampooing with one of our Shampoo Bars use a Conditioner Bar or this Detangling Conditioner Bar. Rinse thoroughly.
To use: Under running water, swipe down the hair over the scalp several times. Step in and out of the water as necessary as you lather. Note that this bar will not produce copious lather like our Shampoo Bars, but more of a gentle, light lather. Massage into hair. Experiment as to how long you should leave on your hair, but this bar isn’t intended to be left on hair so we recommend rinsing as soon as you work through your hair.
Approximately 3-3.5 oz
