Oils for Herbal Compounds
We go to great lengths to ensure we make the very best Herbal Compounds possible! First, we researched the oils that would go into the product. Olive Oil alone is common for compounds. However in our research we discovered, because of the acid profile, Olive Oil isn't necessarily the best oil for younger skin. We wanted to make a product with flexibility for different skin types. Many hours of research went into the choices that would make up our blend, and we honestly believe it's the best combination possible.
The Herbs!
Then, of course, comes the most important part of the compound, the Herbs! Again, hours of research went into the decision of which herbs to use for the compounds we were making. Choosing the herbs was far more difficult bc of all the material to wade through in choosing just the right herbs. But in another way, it was easy bc all sources seemed to point to the same conclusions. But the ultimate test is you! Customers feedback has been great, and beyond what we expected! But we'd love to hear from you as well!
The preservatives...
Nope! Not gonna go there! We don't use water in any of our leave on body products for precisely this reason. We will not use harmful chemicals to preserve products! If there is water, there has to be an artificial chemical preservative, or the product will mold. However, we do use Natural Vitamin E and Grapefruit Seed Extract (or Rosemary Oleoresin) to help prevent the product from rancidity. However, as opposed to chemical preservatives, these natural products have reputations for being antioxidants, and good for your skin.
Instructions for use:
As with all new products, test on small area of skin and wait 24 hours before continued use. If any reaction occurs discontinue use immediately. Use on dry areas in very small amounts as this is extremely concentrated. Allow 2-3 minutes to fully absorb. If not fully absorbed in this time, you may be using more than necessary.

None of our body products contain water or artificial, chemical preservatives! The tub should be used within 4-5 months of purchase, or kept in the refrigerator for longer storage.
Precaution:
Do not use on children under the age of 6 without consulting their health care practitioner. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use on mucous membranes or open skin.

We love Black and Blue! We have been using Arnica for years to treat bumps and bruises and we love this formula. We discovered that it does more than reduce swelling and bruising, it also helps with muscle cramps/growing pains! My sons often suffer with them during the middle of the night and Black and Blue stays by our bed so we can massage some in the offending muscles and relief is almost immediate! We NEVER want to be out of this wonderful product! Definitely recommend!!
