The soap

A perfect bar of soap is a balancing act between hard (lasts longer) and moisturizing (what we want as well).

More unsaponified oils and butters makes for a more moisturizing bar, but also a softer bar that doesn’t last as long. Thus, the struggle;)

We chose oils known for their hardness and moisture in this delightful bar.  Organic Sunflower and Pure Olive Oil are both known for making a smooth, mild soap.  Coconut, Palm Oil, and Tallow make great lather, good cleansing, and a hard bar of soap. Tallow actually being great at cleansing, hardness, and moisturizing!

Shea Butter, Apricot Kernel and Castor Oil all make a moisturizing bar of soap. And then Meadowfoam Oil! Oh yeah! Smooth, creamy, moisturizing are just a few of the words we could use to describe it! Meadowfoam is one of our favorite oils to work with here at Spero as it gives such a smooth feel to the finished bar. And of course, Silk takes it to perfection!

Scent-Essential Oils

The leaf design is scented Lavender, and the others are Floral Springs, a lovely Combination of Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Geranium and Jasmine essential oils.

We are excited here at Spero Soaps to have several varieties of Goat's Milk soap available!  This particular soap has long been a customer favorite so we picked it to make into one of our Goat's Milk soaps: Remember going to Grandma's house where you'd be greeted with, hugs, lavender sachets & the smell of warm sugar cookies fresh in the oven?  Experience that again with this Lavender Vanilla Bath soap which includes lots of Shea butter, Clay, & Silk to round out your memorable experience! Now with Raw Goat's Milk and Indulge Body Butter! Please note, the scent in this soap is light, not strong!

Susie's Sensitive Skin Line

This soap has been formulated with your sensitive skin in mind! We had several customers love our Steel Cut for sensitive skin, but we wanted to take it up a notch with an Oats and Honey Soap.❤️ This soap was a challenge to perfect, to say the least! Honey is known for being tricky to add to soap, as it causes a reaction due to the sugars, and overheats the soap. To overcome that most of the recipes we found included just a hint of honey, so we were on our own. We needed to keep the Natural Honey below 100º, but add enough to actually make a difference in the soap. We tested, and tested, and tested again to finally arrive at a formula that uses more Honey than any recipe we found, and found a way to keep the soap cool enough to preserve the integrity of the Honey! Then we added Colloidal Oats, used Organic Rice Water as the liquid used to saponify* the oils, and added Babassu and Fresh Aloe Vera! This was a fun challenge and we think the extra effort was worth it! *This is the process in which oils are turned into soap.
